I continue to be inspired by the many people who are willing to put their ideas out into the world. I try to take time each day to read, watch and listen to new ideas, new stories and the new ways in which people all around me are trying to make sense of the world. The books, videos and words of wisdom found here are part of what inspires me to imagine and create in new ways. You may not agree with all of the ideas here. (Heck, I don’t necessarily agree with everything that’s here!) But I do believe that there are some rich conversations waiting in the voices that you’ll discover here.

Books That I'm Reading...

Musicking: The Meanings of Performing and Listening
The End of Average: The Science of What Makes Us Different
Beautiful Risk of Education
Flip the System: Changing Education from the Ground Up
Creative Schools: The Grassroots Revolution That's Transforming Education

Videos That Inspire Me...

In this TEDx talk, Todd Rose highlights some of the main thinking that inspired his new book End of Average. This one should shift your thinking a little!
How can we design the places we live, learn and work so that they contribute to the narrative that we are trying to create?
How do you react when you’re asked to “get creative”? If you start looking for the nearest exit, then David Kelley has some insights for you.
Mimi O’Bonsawin has just launched her new school-based program, Rhythm & Rhyme. Your students could be singing on stage with Mimi and her band.
